Veterinary Surgeon and Owner of Love Street Vets

Paisley born and bred,  Kerry has spent the last 20 years working, living and raising her family in Paisley.  She took over Love Street Vets in 2016 with a dream to ensure our local veterinary practice continued to be an independent, family practice in the face of increasing corporatisation within the veterinary profession.
She loves all aspects of veterinary medicine and surgery, particularly laparoscopic surgery and is passionate about creating a calm, welcoming and supportive environment for all of our lovely patients and their guardians. 
Over the years, a few waifs and strays have found their way into her home. Sprout and Pickle are the lovable dogs who keep her busy.

Clare Rose

Practice Manager

Our  Practice Manager has been working in the veterinary industry since 2010 and joined Love Street Vets in 2022.  In addition to helping Kerry with the smooth running of the practice, she also processes insurance claims for our clients. While she doesn’t have a dog at the moment, a greyhound or a whippet is her and her daughters preferred choice.

Raised in Paisley, Edd has been part of Kerry’s journey from her dreams of becoming a vet to sitting in their kitchen one evening with a notepad and some big dreams. You will find him in the background helping to ensure the practice runs smoothly. Loves being outdoors with his dogs.

Katy Stow
Head Nurse

I joined the fabulous independent team at Love Street Vets in 2021. I started my nursing journey way back in 1998. As a farmer's daughter I have always been involved in animal care, in the spring you'll find me in the lambing shed at my family's farm. Over my years as a nurse, I have gained experience with a wide range of livestock and pets, including large animals, small animals and exotics.
Kerry asked me to join Love Street Vets in 2021 as we settled into the new clinic and expanded our clinical services. As head nurse at Love Street Vets, I am responsible for mentoring and supporting the nursing team and ensuring continuity in our high clinical standards. But most of all, I love chatting to clients and being able to provide information and support to our patients and clients.

Vikki Harvey
Veterinary Nurse

I am one of the Registered Veterinary Nurses here at Love Street Vets. I joined the practice in June 2025 but have been qualified since 2013 when I completed my BSc (Hons) in Veterinary Nursing at Edinburgh Napier University.
My passions at work are in medical nursing and nutrition. Here at Love Street, I enjoy taking care of the patients that have to stay in hospital and running our weight management clinics.
Any clients with boxer dogs may have met me already when I've come to steal some boxer cuddles!
Outside of work, I love exploring the amazing country we live in, paying particular attention to exploring Castles. 

Kerry Galbraith
Veterinary Nurse

I started nursing 30 years ago in mixed practice.  I qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in 2001. Over the many years I have worked in general practice, emergency hospital services, rehabilitation, tele health medicine triaging pets all over the world and volunteering where I helped the homeless pets on the streets of Glasgow. 
I’ve now joined my forever practice Love Street Vets.  I’m working alongside wonderful, amazing vets and nurses where we all strive to provide exceptional care for our patients.   
When I’m not working I love spending time with my family and our two border terriers.  I enjoy going to bingo, the theatre and shopping!

Elaine Sandhu
Veterinary Nurse

Having originally started out in Telecoms and Recruitment many moons ago I became a full time mum to 4 Children. Once the youngest pup was in preschool I decided to have a complete career change and finally fulfil my life-long dream of caring for and working with animals so I qualified as a Veterinary Care Assistant and then as a Registered Veterinary Nurse. I have also gained A Cat Friendly Veterinary Professional Certificate from the ISFM supporting my passion for all things feline! Yup I am a self confessed crazy cat lady! My husband, 3 Bengals and 2 black labs would absolutely testify to this! I am a firm believer in supporting local independent businesses so couldn’t have been happier to join this lovely bunch at Love Street in my hometown back in November 2024. I’m never happier than when I’m out with my dogs with a cat perched on my shoulder or dancing with a margarita in my hand!

Robyn Borland
Student Veterinary Nurse

I joined the Love Street family back in 2022 as a Veterinary Care Assistant and currently working towards my Veterinary Nursing diploma.
In a previous life I worked as a human dental nurse and during Covid I got a taste for Vet Med. I decided to make the leap working in a busy Manchester emergency hospital and got hooked. I love that each day is different however, I have a real interest for geriatric patients, caring for my inpatients (your lovely fur-babies) and British Short Hairs (any BSH owners have likely met me already!).  The whole team have supported me through my journey and I am excited  to  be in the final stages of qualifying to become a registered veterinary nurse at Love Street Vets.
When I am not at work I will usually be attending live music gigs, looking after my plant babies at home or spending time with my Shih Tzu brother and sister 

Dianne Woollard
Head Receptionist

I’m Head of the Reception Team at the practice (most of you will already know me!). I have worked alongside Kerry for 20 years. When she took over the practice and asked me to join Love Street nearly 10 years ago, I was delighted to become part of the family . I lead our reception team and have had the pleasure of helping us grow into the amazing and now the only independent veterinary practice left in Paisley. I’m responsible for the day-to-day management of the reception team and the smooth running of front of house, as well as training and mentoring new and existing team members. At home I’m kept busy by my two 3-year-old Domestic Shorthair cats — Nuri, a ginger, and Kiko, who’s black. In my spare time I love spending time with family and friends, socialising, and going out for dinner with the occasional cheeky cocktail. I’ll also admit to having a bit of a shopping addiction!

Vicki Adamson Receptionist

As a veterinary receptionist I love saying hello to every pet that walks through the door, always happy to offer a cuddle, a treat and help make your vet visits a little less scary. I enjoy my work and value time with friends and family . Proudly owned by my cat Gomez who im more than happy to share stories about —whether you ask or not. As a cat person, I am a proud official Cat Advocate at our accredited gold friendly cat clinic. This means that I have an important role in the clinic for ensuring the welfare of our cats and educating our clients and the wider community of the importance of feline health and welfare.

Holly Burdass Receptionist and VCA

I have been in the Veterinary industry for almost 10 years, and I still genuinely love meeting every furry patient (and their humans) who walk through our doors. Love Street Vets became my new home after moving up from a vets in Yorkshire (not that my accent doesn't give that away!)
As part of Love Street Vets, I am our social media expert and I am also in the process of working towards an additional veterinary care qualification so I can become more involved in the clinical elements of veterinary practice.
If I am not at work, you're usually find me cuddled up with my two dogs that are absolutely lap dogs (at least in their eyes), or deep in wedding plans. And if you see me on the M6 heading back to Yorkshire, give me a wave!

Amanda Hawthorne
Receptionist

It had always been a life long dream to work in a vets, and being a receptionist at Love Street Vets is like a dream come true. I get to greet all the pets coming through the door. I love all fur babies, but my passion lies with dogs. I am guided through life by my lovely bearded collie Cupar, who,with her sore legs is a frequent visitor and my little old cat Pixie. I used to practice as a pet dog trainer and am happy to share tips when asked. The compassion and care the team show every single day makes me so proud to be part of the Love Street Vets family.

Hi! I’m Rebecca and Ive recently joined the reception team at a Love Street Vets. I’m usually the first face you’ll see when you arrive, and I do my best to make visits as calm and easy as possible for both you and your wonderful companions!

Dr Louise Macpherson Vet

I have been part of Love Street Vets since 2021, and have known Kerry since we went to Glasgow Vet School together more than 25 years ago. I really enjoy managing the more unusual, complex and  rare health conditions and thinking outside the box to create a bespoke and contexualised care plan for my patients. My nickname is the practice encyclopaedia! My  specific interests  are in internal medicine, nutrition and weight management, caring for older pets and the management of chronic pain. I holds  Certificate in Western Veterinary Acupuncture, and love to see the difference it can make to patients.
 When I joined Love Street Vets in 2021, It has allowed me to fulfill my passion for being a vet. Being independent means that I have the freedom to make sure that the treatments I deliver are of the highest quality, and tailored to exactly what a patient and owner need. I feel strongly that I always want to work with each client to find what is best for them as an individual.

I also enjoy mentoring and developing my colleagues, to help them deliver the best care and enjoy coming to work.
I live in rural Ayrshire with my children, husband, and miniature poodle, Aaron. I enjoy walking, cold water swimming, cooking and drinking tea.

Dr Emma Wemyss
Vet

I have been a proud member of the Love Street Vet family since 2021. I love surgery and have been an integral part of expanding our laparoscopic surgical services at the practice, but I love all aspects of veterinary medicine. I have helped Kerry with our Dogs Trust Dog Friendly Clinic award and I am passionate about ensuring a comfortable, stress free environment for our patients. More recently, you might see me out and about with our mobile home visit service. Outside of work, I can usually be found at the gym, socialising with friends or deep in planning mode, as a self-confessed organiser who always has a trip booked or an idea brewing. At home, I am ruled by her mischievous cat, Pip, whose favourite hobbies include causing chaos and keeping me on my toes!

Dr Megan McCormick
Vet

Born and raised in Renfrew, I graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 2023. I have been working and seeing practice with Kerry when I was at school. I have been with  Love Street Vets team since I was a student and no one has been able to get rid of me since then! I sadly don’t have any pets at the moment but I hope to become a Tibetan Terrier owner again one day. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and singing in my choir.

Dr Claire Anderson
Vet

I graduated from glasgow vet school in 2007. I have worked in small animal practice ever since- including an internship at Glasgow vet school, charity practice (PDSA-employed for 6years, and volunteering abroad- Fiji SSPCA), and both independent and corporate practices in England and Scotland.
I joined Love street in November 2024 and enjoy working with all animals- but particularly love working with cats and golden oldies (animals in the later stages of their lives) I have been working alongside Kerry and the team to grow our cat health services and I am really proud to be part of a Gold Friendly Cat Clinic which promotes the upmost standards of welfare and health for our feline patients.
Outside of work I am busy with my young family, border collie and 2 cats.

Jessica Martin
Vet

I've been a vet since 2013, and I love the variety my job brings. I enjoy a mix of medicine and surgery, and I'm especially happy when working with small furries, ultrasound scanning, or treating the golden oldies. At home, I've got a cheeky chinchilla called Harris and plan to adopt some rescue bunnies later this year. When I'm not working, I love running and cycling, especially in a sunny place! I'm proud to be part of the Love Street Vets team, a great independent practice with such lovely clients and patients

I was born and  raised  in Glasgow and graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 2020. My favourite thing about being a vet is getting to know all the pets and their owners and making a difference! I have  a keen interest in imaging, medicine and surgery. In my spare time I love to curl up with a good book or walk her black labrador Clover.  I am delighted to have joined Love Street Vets to be able to work with an independent practice to look after our community.
