Love Street Vets is an accredited Dogs Trust Dog Friendly Clinic
The Dog Friendly Clinic Scheme is a collaborative project between Dogs Trust and the British Veterinary Behaviour Association. The aim of the scheme is to highlight and acknowledge the dedication and hard work of our vet team who use recognised behaviour principles to improve the welfare of our patients to make the veterinary visit as comfortable as possible. This process ranges from pre visit advice, consultation techniques and methods to reduce stress and improve comfort for our hospitalised patients. This may include pre-visit questionnaires, medication and a longer consultation times with the vet. We can also discuss with you a personalised care plan for your companion when they have to stay with us. You know your companion better than anyone and together, we can work towards a more comfortable visit.
At Love Street Vets, we understand the importance of reducing the stress of vet visits. By introducing your dog to our clinic in a positive, fun way, we can help make future veterinary visits less scary, or stressful, occasions. This not only helps your dog, but can reduce worries for you, and helps us examine your dog in the best way possible. Get in touch with us for a chat about how we can help!
Here are some really useful resources below on how you can help vet visits become as low stress as possible.
